Participants will learn the Process of Team Talk:

  • Team Talk is a strategic input process that is different from brainstorming.
  • The leader is considered a facilitator, not a controller. Their role is to initiate and guide a conversation using the process without commenting on individual input.
  • Team Talk is a specific, point-driven discussion, and each person is invited to share their input on the discussion points.
  • The facilitator or host asks the questions for each person one at a time in a structured pattern.
  • Guided input requests can be short, medium, or in-depth answers. Team Talk allows “everyone” to be on the same topic together and carry out discussions with 100% participation.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • How to balance all generations and communication styles in a meeting
  • Roundtable team talk allows for everyone’s ideas to be heard
  • A consensus is reached without overbearing leaders or hosts
  • The process will support the goals of discussion based presentations
